Covid-19 Mitigation & Operations Plan

As Zion Jeep Tours moves forward in providing high quality experiences for visitors to this area we appreciate your consideration and honesty to help us provide for the health and safety of our guests and our guides.

Carefully review the list of symptoms for Covid-19 on the CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html). If you have had any of these symptoms in the past 14 days, please do not participate in a tour until you have been tested to confirm you do not have Covid-19.

Some individuals may be at higher risk for Covid-19, as outlined on the CDC’s website. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-at-higher-risk.html) If you are one of those in this higher risk, please consult your doctor and evaluate if our jeep tour is right for you.

  • Screening Employees
    • “Since your last day of work, have you had any of the following:”
      • A new fever (100.4 or higher, or a sense of having a fever)?
      • A new cough that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • New shortness of breath that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • A new sore throat that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • New muscle aches that you cannot attribute to another health condition, or that may have been caused by a specific activity (such as physical
        exercise)?
    • If the employee answers yes to any of these questions the following steps will take place:
      • Remove the employee from the work area and isolate the employee from others.
      • Have the employee examined and tested by a medical professional.
  • Screening Guests
    • Before arrival, the guest should ask themselves and their family members the following screening questions. Within the last 14 days have you:
      • Had a new fever (100.4 or higher, or a sense of having a fever)?
      • Developed a new cough that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • Developed shortness of breath that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • Developed a new sore throat that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
      • Experienced muscle aches that you cannot attribute to another health condition, or that may have been caused by a specific activity (such as physical exercise)?
      • Been in contact with an individual who has been ill with respiratory complaints or fever, or who you know has tested positive for COVID-19?

  • Additional steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our guests and our guides
    • Having hand sanitizer available
    • Guides will be required to wear a mask when in the vehicle with the guest
    • Maintaining social distancing
      • In vehicles where social distancing is not achievable, we are requiring the guest and the guide to wear a mask.
    • After each tour ZJT will be cleaning and disinfecting the vehicles; focusing on door handles, seat belts, hand holds, etc.
